Last week, a friend gave me a compliment. "Terry, you have your faults, but whining is not one of them." I love honest compliments, don't you? (I'm just thankful that she can't read my mind. If she were able to read my mind, she would have stopped with, "Terry, you have your faults...")

Help Trey Morgan Feed the Dump People
"Is this not the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
and break every yoke?
Is it not to share your food with the hungry
and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter--
when you see him naked, to clothe him,
and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
Then your light will break forth like the dawn,
and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness will go before you,
and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard.
Then you will call, and the LORD will answer;
you will cry for help, and he will say, 'Here am I'" (Isaiah 58:6-9).
My blogging friend Trey Morgan is trying to raise money to feed people in Honduras who survive by digging through their local dump to find food. On May 5, he will conducting a Feed the Dump People marathon on his blog (www.treymorgan.net). They are among the poorest in the world. Anything you can give will help. Thanks for considering the poor.

Dealing with Cancer
Today, I read about a prayer request at http://kinneymabry.blogspot.com/2008/05/prayer-request.html. One of the families in the church served by Preacherman is facing a very difficult time with cancer. Please keep them in your prayers. God cares and listens.
A couple of days ago, Trey Morgan celebrated 5 years of overcoming cancer. His story may be read at http://www.treymorgan.net/2008/05/what-i-learned-from-cancer.html. His cancer became a catalyst for appreciating his relationship with God, his family, and his friends.
