A Celebration of Life

The Dallas Morning News has published one of the most moving stories I have ever read in a newspaper. Please read it at:

(Part 1) www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/news/localnews/stories/083009thomas_part1.11b55ace4.html

(Part2) www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/news/localnews/stories/090609thomas_part2.11b5e0965.html

While reading the story, I could not help thinking about a little boy we tried to adopt several years ago (see http://adisciplesthoughts.blogspot.com/2007/06/sage.html). Every life is valuable, as the story reminds me.

Terry, I enjoyed this too! I have also enjoyed looking through your posts about your adoption story. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, Holly! I don't know if you were working for Christian Services at the time, but Sarah Bailey was handling our case at that time. She called Janet to let us know about Sage. Later, Devonne took over our case when Sarah left. She handled our adoption of Christopher. It's good to hear from you.:)

I came over to your site from Patrick Mead's, having read your comment below mine. I was a preacher for 30 years and resigned from a wonderful church to go to work full time with my wife and son in a family owned / operated funeral home. We have seen far too many cases of trisomy infant deaths. Thanks for sharing this article ... because we see our profession first and foremost as a ministry, it has been so rewarding to have some of these families come by the funeral home a year or so later and introduce us to their new baby!!
