I appreciated this article. As an Evangelical Christian, I respect those in the ministry of helping homosexual persons feel loved by the faith community such that they no longer engage in same-gender sex.

As a person with friends who are homosexual, I also believe it's important to build loving relationships and prayerfully let God make the changes. We can do this through confrontation when that is necessary and other methods when they are called for. Recently, I've been trying to do it through humor. It's risky, but check out my recent post - "I'm OK, You're All Gay" and tell me what you think

Thanks for the comment, pistol pete. I'm completely in favor of using humor in reaching out to people. I read your blog, and I hope that you are successful with it.
